Two of my favorite people on the planet. Scarlett and her mom. I’ve known them for almost 10 years. Wow, I didn’t even realize it’s been that long until I started typing! I’ve shot these two since Scarlett was about 5. At the time, it didn’t seem like a big deal. It was just pictures on a sunny summer day. But then one summer day turned into a fall day, and then a spring day, and then another summer day, and now years later, I have photos of these two beautiful people through the last decade, and I think that’s a real gift.

A couple of years ago, I put together an album with all the photos I’d taken of Scarlett and Sedette over the last few years, and gave it to her at the end of the school year. We were all crying. Not sad crying, but happy crying, that these photos existed, and that they were tangible, in a book, that we can all look at for the next 50 years.
