I get this question from moms all the time:
“Do I have to be in [the picture]?”

Well…. No. You really don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do.

However, I am going to insert a big BUT in here. You don’t have to be in it, I know you might not think you look your best, I know the baby might have spit up on you right before you left the house, I know you’re tired, I know.

BUT, in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, no one and I repeat NO ONE is going to look at a photo of you and your baby, smiling, laughing, loving on each other and think dang, why is she wearing that shirt? Because all anyone is going to see is the two of you, together, being who you are.
